Water Tanks for Agriculture Applications

AGRI-BUSINESS – Agricultural applications for underground storage tanks are quite varied.  Some of those uses have included more traditional applications such as replacing old windmill stock tanks to the more unusual like collecting rainwater for an elephant mud pit enjoyed by retired circus animals.  Forest service agencies have begun installing tank fed wild game drinkers for drought stressed wildlife.  A large volume of water pretreated with disinfectant may be required to flush waste and sterilize below confinement pens.  Micro crops such as marijuana are often grown with pure rainwater collected in a tank rather than using treated city water.  There are many agricultural uses for corrosion and rust proof long life fiberglass underground tanks.

In recent years, much of this agricultural tank activity has been focused on environmental issues involving the collection and treatment of waste and odor control.  Darco fiberglass vessels are impervious to acid or caustic environments and will easily outperform and outlive conventional concrete or metal underground tanks.
