Water Tanks for Agriculture Applications
AGRI-BUSINESS – Agricultural applications for underground storage tanks range from replacing an old windmill stock tank to collecting rain water for a mud pit enjoyed by retired circus elephants. A large volume of water pretreated with disinfectant may be required to flush waste and sterilize below confinement pens with elevated floors. Methane can be generated from liquefied waste in underground reactor tanks. There are many agricultural applications for corrosion and rust proof long life fiberglass underground tanks. Contrast raising aquatic plants or fish and crustaceans under controlled tank environments in Florida to desert drinkers installed by the Forest Service for drought stressed wild game in Nevada.
In recent years, much of this agricultural tank activity has been focused on environmental issues involving the collection and treatment of waste and odor control. Darco fiberglass vessels are impervious to acid or caustic environments and will easily out perform and outlive conventional concrete or metal underground tanks.
